1,000 Cranes: Step 1

Cutting, this took me 4 days to complete. Cutting proper sized origami sheets into quarters as I am used to making cranes smaller than 1cm so these are gonna be a bit larger. The sheets are 6x6cm and hopefully will be completed by chinese new year when they will be given to my partner's parents as a new years gift. In china 1,000 cranes has a long standing folk lore that making 1,000 paper cranes enables the folder or the receiver to have a wish come true. My partner thinks its too much work but I think its the least I can do to show my appreciation on what they have done for me since arriving here.
